This Workshop Meeting was opened at 7:00 p.m. Supervisor Stewart presided and the Deputy Clerk called the roll.

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America was led by the Town Board.
Jerome Kleiman made a presentation regarding the Commemoration of the Battle of Bataan and the creation of a symbolic march (Exhibit 01-A-17).

RESOLUTION NO. 21 CREATE POSITION/ASSISTANT BUILDING INSPECTOR/OBZPAE GRADE 15
Councilman Troy offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Diviny and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation and approval of Rockland County Personnel, create the position of Assistant Building Inspector in OBZPAE, (Orangetown Building Zoning Planning and Enforcement) Grade 15, effective January 9, 2017.

RESOLUTION NO. 22 APPOINT MICHAEL ACHESON ASSISTANT BUILDING INSPECTOR OBZPAE/GRADE 15
Councilman Valentine offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Diviny and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Director of OBZPAE and approval of the Town Board, appoint Michael Acheson to the position of Assistant Building Inspector, permanent, from EL#16021 (OC), Grade 15, Step 8/13 at a salary of $87,771.00, effective January 9, 2017.

RESOLUTION NO. 23 ADJOURNED
Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, at 9:00 pm, the Town Board and adjourned in memory of NYC Police Detective Steven McDonald.
