NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
THE ORANGETOWN ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
Notice is hereby given, that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Orangetown will hold a meeting on May 20, 2020 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.1 issued on March 12, 2020, the meeting will be held via teleconference with no in person attendance.
The Town of Orangetown Zoning Board will at said time and place hear all persons in support of any matters before it or any objections thereto. Applicants, agent or representative must dial or log into the teleconference as per the instructions below.
The meeting will be recorded and be available for viewing within 24 hours after the meeting via You Tube on the Town’s website at Orangetown.com. Minutes of the meeting will be transcribed and made available at a later date.
The Agenda of the Board of Appeals meeting is set forth herein and posted on the Town’s website at Orangetown.com.
Members of the public may call in to listen to the meeting, and provide comment.

On the evening of Wednesday, MAY 20, 2020 approximately 5 minutes before 7:00 p.m., log in with your computer or call in with your telephone. You will be placed on hold until the meeting starts.
COMMENTS DURING THE PUBLIC HEARING: During the meeting, comments may be (1) sent via email to: darbolino@orangetown.com; and (2) made by speaking or chat through the GoToMeetings teleconference of the meeting; (3) Comments may also be emailed in advance of the meeting to the Clerk to the Zoning Board of Appeals by email to: darbolino@orangetown.com. Rock for a variance from Zoning Code (Chapter 43) of the Town of Orangetown Code, Chapter 43, RG District, Section 5.221 (Steps over 16 sq. ft. over 2’ above grade, requires a variance) for a wall and steps at an existing single-family residence. The premises are located at 11 Goswick Court, Sparkill, New York and is identified on the Orangetown Tax Map as Section 77.08, Block 5, Lot 36.4 in the RG zoning district.
ZBA#20-29: Application of Michael Maroney for variances from Zoning Code (Chapter 43) of the Town of Orangetown Code, Chapter 43, R-15 District, Group M, Columns 4 (Floor Area Ratio), and 12 (Building Height); Section 5.21 e undersized lot applies; for an addition to an existing single-family residence. The premises are located at 21 Duhaime Road, Pearl River, New York and is identified on the Orangetown Tax Map as Section 69.10, Block 1, Lot 36 in the R-15 zoning district.
ZBA#20-30: Application of Michael McAndrew for variances from Zoning Code (Chapter 43) of the Town of Orangetown Code, R-15 District, Group M, Section 3.12, Columns 4 ( Floor Area Ratio), 9 (Side Yard) and 10 (Total Side Yard) for an addition to an existing single-family residence. The premises are located at 43 Yale Terrace, Blauvelt, New York and is identified on the Orangetown Tax Map as Section 70.10, Block 1, Lot 22 in the R-15 zoning district.
ZBA# 20-31: Application of Ben Wiley for variances from Zoning Code (Chapter 43) of the Town of Orangetown Code, R-15 District, Group M, Columns 9 (Side Yard), 10 (Total Side Yard) and 12 (Building Height) (Section 5.21e undersized lot applies) The premises are located at 161 Old Middletown Road, Pearl River, New York and are identified on the Orangetown Tax Map as Section 69.17, Block 1, Lot 26 in the R-15 zoning district.
ZBA#20-32: Application of Billy and Meaghan Valentine for a variance from Zoning Code (Chapter 42) of the Town of Orangetown Code, R-15 District, Section 3.12, Group M, Column 11 (Rear Yard) for a deck at an existing single-family residence. The premises are located at 9 Buttonwood Place, Blauvelt, New York and are identified on the Orangetown Tax Map as Section 69.20, Block 1, Lot 47 in the R-15 zoning District.
