This meeting was opened at 7:38 p.m. Supervisor Day presided and Rosanna Sfraga, Town Clerk, called the roll. Present were:

Announcement:
The Blauvelt Lions Club is hosting a “Health Awareness Day”, Sunday, January 13, 2019, 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the Blauvelt Fire House. This event will support the Joseph Raso Hospice Residence in New City, NY.

RESOLUTION NO. 1 OFFICIAL UNDERTAKING/ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS
Councilman Diviny offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Director of Finance, Jeff Bencik, approve Official Undertaking for elected and appointed officials, officers and employees as the Town Board may require for the faithful performance of their duties and the prompt and proper account for paying over all money received by said employees in their official capacities, to be filed in the Rockland County Clerk’s Office.

RESOLUTION NO. 3 OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER
Councilman Diviny offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby designates the Journal News as the official newspaper of the Town pursuant to NYS Town Law Section 64 (11), and the Our Town and Rockland County Times, for additional notices as the Board may determine necessary or advisable, on a case by case basis.

RESOLVED, that Charlotte Madigan, Town Clerk, is hereby reappointed Registrar of Vital Statistics, effective January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018.

RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby appoints each Department Head as Records Access Officer (RAO) for their Department records, effective January 1 – December 31, 2019.

RESOLUTION NO. 10 RE-APPOINT / 1ST DEPUTY TOWN CLERK/COLLECTOR / JOSEPH THOMASSEN
Councilman Diviny offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Bottari and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, the Town Board hereby recognizes and affirms the re-appointment of Joseph Thomassen, by the Town Clerk, to the position of First Deputy Town Clerk/Collector.

RESOLUTION NO. 11 GRANT EXTENDED SICK LEAVE EMPLOYEE #3995
Councilman Troy offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Bottari and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police and consistent with current CSEA Labor Agreement; grant employee #3995 and extended sick leave. This leave would be at one-half the employee’s rate of pay and be effective as of December 15, 2018. It will continue until January 28, 2019.

RESOLUTION NO. 12 GRANT UNPAID LEAVE OF ABSENCE/EMPLOYEE #3995
Councilman Diviny offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:
RESOLVED, upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police and consistent with the current CSEA Labor Agreement; grant employee #3995 unpaid leave of absence. This leave would be effective on January 29, 2019 and continue until March 20, 2019.

RESOLUTION NO. 13 ADJOURNED
