Summary of Public Comments:
Esta Baitler, Sparkill, congratulated Supervisor Day and his wife on the birth of their new baby. She asked that Camp Venture be at the beginning of the St Patrick’s Day parade and Town Board members march with them.
Michael Andrea, Blauvelt, complained that Linen Choice destroyed all the trees, causes air & noise pollution and causes unpleasant changes in the neighborhood. The Town Board and the ZBA should be considerate of residents’ and environmental concerns.

RESOLUTION NO. 42 APPOINT / BENJAMIN GORCZYNSKI TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT POLICE OFFICER

RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, and per the authorization of Rockland County Department of Personnel, the Town Board hereby appoints Benjamin Gorczynski from Rockland County nominating list 69-233/16097, to the position of “Temporary” Police Officer/Resident of the Town of Orangetown, for the sole purpose of allowing him to attend the DCJS Basic Officer Training Class at Rockland County Police & Public Safety Academy, effective 2/4/2019, at a salary consistent with the labor agreement between the Town of Orangetown and the Orangetown PBA.

RESOLVED, the Town Board hereby authorizes Supervisor Chris Day, Local Responsible Official, to sign Supplemental agreement #4 with the New York State Department of Transportation. Supplemental Agreement #4 authorizes the transfer of $120,491.50 from the Right of Way Acquisition Phase to the Construction Phase increasing the funded amount from $1.2 million to $1,337,491.50 for the Route 340 Sidewalk Project, PIN 8059.03.
