BOARD OF REVIEW – MEETING OF FEBRUARY 21, 2013
MEMBERS PRESENT: Thomas Warren, Chairman; Paul Papay; Jack Messina; Jill Fieldstein; James Dodge; Blythe Yost and Alex DiMenna

Thomas Warren, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Warren read the agenda. Hearings as listed on this meeting’s agenda which are made a part of these minutes were held as noted below.

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Jack Messina and seconded by Jill Fieldstein and agreed by all in attendance. The Decisions on the above hearings, which Decisions are made by the Board before the conclusion of the meeting and are mailed to the applicant. The verbatim minutes are not transcribed, but are available. As there was no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m. The next ACABOR Meeting is scheduled for March 7, 2013.

RE: Q Station Nail & Spa Sign Plan: The application of Q Station Nail & Spa, lnc., Jenisa Realty Corp., owner, for the review of a sign plan, at a site . known to be known as “Q Station Nail & Spa Sign Plan”, in accordance with
Article 16 of the Town Law of the State of New York and Chapter 2 of the Code of the Town of Orangetown. The site is located 135 North Middletown Road, Pearl River, Town of Orangetown, Rockland County, New York, and as shown
on the Orangetown Tax Map as Section 69.13, Block 1, Lot 1.2 in the CC zoning district.
Heard by the Architecture and Community Appearance Board of Review of the Town of Orangetown at a meeting held Thursday, February 21, 2013, at which time the Board made the following determinations:
Chen Qiao Rong appeared and testified. The Board received the following items:
- Sign Plan prepared by NYSign, dated January 4, 2013.
- Proposed Signage, noting colors of sign. b. Location map of store.
FINDINGS OF FACT:
- The Board found that the applicant proposed overhead signage
measuring 163″ inches by 24″. The sign will consist of channel letters on a light box, with white letters, red faces and a green logo, outlined with white trim. The letters and logo will be illuminated. All letters will be on a black raceway return, see plan.
No Public Comments
DECISION: In view of the foregoing and the testimony before the Board, the application was APPROVED AS PRESENTED.
