WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Highways duly advertised for sealed bids for the Construction of Traffic Signals located at Various Locations throughout the Town, which were publicly opened on June 18, 2020; a copy of the Notice of Posting, Affavidat of Publication and the Bid Sheet is labeled Exhibit 10-C-20 , and made a part of these minutes;
WHEREAS, The Superintendent of Highways reduced the construction costs through value engineering;

APPROVE / LEND AID / 2020 “ORANGEBIKE” ROAD FAMILY BIKE DAY II/ SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18 (RAIN DATE OCTOBER 25TH)
RESOLVED, upon the completion of all necessary paperwork for the Orangetown Highway Department, Rockland County Highway Department and after discussions with the Orangetown Police Department , the Superintendent of Parks & Recreation has forwarded for approval by the Town Board the “OrangeBike” Road Family Bike Day II event to be held on the grounds of Blue Hill Plaza as well as local and county roadways. This event will be a 3 hour event allowing Orangetown families a new and unusual bike way. Funds for this event already exist in the budget for 7310.457.
The following has been requested from:
Orangetown Highway: Cones, Barricades, Roadway Signage and Detour Signage.
Rockland County Highway: Personnel and Cones to be placed from Blue Hill Plaza to Lester Drive, and Roadway Signage.
Orangetown Police Department: Auxiliary Police (# TBD by Orangetown Police Administration) and Roadway Signage.
