SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 2013

 

The Town Board entered this Special Town Board Meeting at 12:10 p.m.  Supervisor Stewart presided and the Deputy Clerk called the Roll.

 

Present were:  Councilman Denis Troy

Councilman Paul Valentine

 

Absent:           Councilman Thomas Diviny

Absent:           Councilman Thomas Morr

 

Also Present:  Allan Ryff, Deputy Supervisor

Rosemarie Maiorano, Deputy Clerk

John Edwards, Town Attorney

Jeff Bencik, Finance Direcotor

Robert Zimmerman, Police Captain

Suzanne Barclay, Deputy Supervisor of Operations

 

 

The Town Board led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

 

 

RESOLUTION NO. 356                                          ENTER STBM/AGREEMENT/BLUE HILL COMPLEX/POLICE DEPT

 

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:

 

RESOLVED, that the Town Board entered this Special Town Board Meeting for the purpose of an agreement to utilize a portion of the Blue Hill Complex parking lot for Police driver training, at 12:10 p.m.

RESOLUTION NO. 357                                          AGREEMENT/GLORIUS SUN ROBERT MARTIN/BLUE HILL COMPLEX PARKING LOT/POLICE          

 

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:

 

RESOLVED that the Town Board hereby approves the Indemnification Agreement, between the Town of Orangetown and Glorius Sun Robert Martin, LLC, for use of a portion of the Blue Hill Complex parking lot, for Police driver training and the Supervisor is hereby authorized to sign this Indemnification Agreement.

RESOLUTION NO. 358                                          ENTER EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

In attendance, at this Executive Session, were Supervisor Stewart, Councilmen Troy and Valentine, Allan Ryff, John Edwards, Jeff Bencik, and Captain Zimmerman.

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Valentine and was unanimously adopted:

 

RESOLVED, that the Town Board entered Executive Session to discuss United Water issues, events at the Masonic grounds and grants, at 12:21 p.m.

RESOLUTION NO. 359                                          REENTERED STBM/AJOURNED

 

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Troy and was unanimously adopted:

 

RESOLVED, that the Town Board re-entered the Special Town Board Meeting and adjourned, at 12:43 p.m.
