WORKSHOP MEETING
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2011
This Workshop Meeting was opened at 8:00 p.m. Supervisor Whalen presided and the Town Clerk called the Roll.

RESOLUTION NO. 566 REVOKES RESOLUTION NO. 64/2011 DEME LABOR JOHN GANSSLE
Councilwoman Low-Hogan offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Diviny and was unanimously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board hereby revokes Resolution No 64/2011, as it relates to the appointment of John Ganssle to the DEME in the position of Laborer, grade 9, due to material misrepresentations on his employment application. Such revocation shall terminate Mr. Ganssle’s employment with the Town of Orangetown effective immediately.

RESOLUTION NO. 567 APPROVE HEARING OFFICER JOSEPH WOOLEY/EMPLOYEE #2599
Councilwoman Low-Hogan offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Diviny and was unanimously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board hereby appoints Joseph E. Wooley to act as a Hearing Officer pursuant to §75 of the Civil Service Law of the State of New York with respect to certain disciplinary charges, dated October 4, 2011, preferred against Employee #2599. The Hearing Officer is directed to conduct a hearing, making findings of fact and issue a recommendation of guilt or innocence, along with a recommended penalty, if appropriate, to the Town Board.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Board approves of the compensation of Hearing Officer Joseph E. Wooley, at a rate of $175.00 per hour not to exceed $5000, for services rendered.

RESOLVED, that the Town Board continued with the Workshop Meeting at 8:10 p.m.
