WORKSHOP/EXECUTIVE SESSION

TUESDAY, APRIL 26, 2016

 

This Workshop Meeting was opened at 8:05 p.m. Supervisor Stewart presided and the Deputy Clerk called the roll.

 

Present were:   Councilman Denis Troy

Councilman Thomas Diviny

Councilman Paul Valentine

Councilman Gerald Bottari

 

Also present:

Teresa Accetta-Pugh, Deputy Clerk

John Edwards, Town Attorney

Teresa Kenny, Deputy Town Attorney

Jeff Bencik, Finance Director

James Dean, Superintendent of Highways

Joseph Moran, Commissioner of DEME

John Giardiello, Director of OBZPAE

Aric Gorton, Superintendent of Parks, Recreation & Building Maint.

 

Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America was led by the Town Board.

 

A presentation regarding streetlight buyout and LED conversion process was given by Patricia Courtney and George Woodbury.  Patricia runs NYSERDA-funded service for towns looking at streetlight projects.  George is a former DPW superintendent whose company has managed the conversion of over 100,000 streetlights nationwide.

 

A presentation regarding the conservation of water was given by Margie Turrin, Chair of the Conservation Committee.

 

RESOLUTION NO. 225                                            ENTERED WORKSHOP

 

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Diviny and was unanimously adopted:

 

RESOLVED, at 8:05 p.m., the Town Board entered this Workshop Meeting.  They reviewed and discussed agenda items 1-30.

RESOLUTION NO. 226                                          ENTER EXECUTIVE SESSION

                                                                                    RPC LAND

 

In attendance, at this Executive Session, were Supervisor Stewart, Councilpersons Troy, Diviny, Valentine, Bottari, John Edwards, Teresa Kenny, and Jeff Bencik.

 

Supervisor Stewart offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Councilman Bottari and was unanimously adopted:

 

RESOLVED, at 9:20 p.m. the Town Board entered Executive Session to discuss purchase offers on land at RPC (parcel 1 & parcel 3).
