Streets Dedicated To Our Fallen Servicemen Heroes
The Town of Orangetown is honored to have approximately 60 streets that are dedicated to our local servicemen who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
These streets are memorialized by an American flag placed on the street sign next to the street name. In addition to the flags, the town has placed plaques on the sign posts briefly describing the servicemen for which the street was dedicated.
Below please find a list of the aforementioned streets, the servicemen for which the street has been named and his branch of service. If a name is underlined, you may click on the name to view his Veteran Profile Page.
These Servicemen Profile Pages have been created after many hours of researching all available documents. The Town is asking its residents to come forward with any documentation that may assist in this effort to assemble a complete memorial.
Should you have any information, please contact Stephen F. Munno, Senior Administrative Assistant, in the Orangetown Highway Department. You may reach him at 845-359-6500 or you may e-mail him at highwaydept@orangetown.com.
